Varsity Hackathon 2026

Varsity Hackathon (V HACK) is the signature annual event of the USM Computer Science Society and stands as one of Malaysia’s largest student-led hackathons. Now entering its fifth consecutive year after the successful runs of V HACK 2022, V HACK 2023, V HACK 2024 and V HACK 2025 the competition continues to attract participants from both local and international universities, all competing to pitch their most innovative ideas to a panel of distinguished judges from academia and the tech industry.

Since its launch, V HACK has been committed to cultivating a spirit of innovation, collaboration and creativity among university students. It serves as an inclusive platform for aspiring developers, designers and tech enthusiasts to explore cutting-edge technologies and turn bold ideas into impactful and real-world projects.

In 2026, V HACK returns with greater ambition. In collaboration with SIM IT SDN BHD, ENFRASYS SOLUTIONS SDN BHD and SRM INTEGRATION (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD. V HACK 2026 is set to raise the bar with a more enriching and competitive experience. This year’s edition features expanded technical workshops, inspiring talks from leading industry professionals, dedicated mentorship and enhanced prizes to reward outstanding innovation.

Following the successful hybrid format from previous years, the preliminary rounds will be conducted online, leading up to an exclusive physical Grand Final in Penang, Malaysia where the top teams will pitch their solutions live.
